The just concluded conference Sex, Sexuality and Homosexuality:
Engaging the Truth was a tremendous success. Pat Lawrence and
Rev. Darryl Foster were exceptional in their presentations. As one delegate
said: “The conference totally demystified homosexuality.”
As promised all who attended were equipped with tools to help affect positive
change in the lives of persons struggling with unwanted homosexuality.
The average attendance between the three days was approximately 130 persons.
It was a great pleasure to welcome to the conference two delegates from
London, three from Jamaica and five from Trinidad and Tobago. Of greater
note was the 25 persons, including 3 pastors, who signed-up to be involved
in a ministry reaching out to homosexuals. We are trusting God to use
the seed sown in this conference in a mighty way and to take the process
forward to the next stage of firmly establishing a ministry to homosexuals
to see their lives changed and transformed for the glory of God.
Please see the handouts for more
details on the topics covered.
As the world promotes more sexual freedom, increasing numbers of children,
teens and adults in every part of the world are struggling with and being
hurt by homosexuality, prostitution, sexual abuse, gender changes, pornography,
sex before marriage and sex outside of marriage. Do you or your church
know how bad the problem of sexual brokenness is?
People within the church who struggle with sexual brokenness and damage
often have difficulty finding support in the church or from family members.
How should Christians and churches respond to others within their own
churches who wish to live according to biblical norms and values but are
struggling with homosexuality, lesbianism, or other kinds of fallen, damaged
sexuality?
Sex, Sexuality and Homosexuality: Engaging the Truth will answer these
questions and deal with others such as …
- The Roots of Homosexuality
- What Does the Bible Say?
- Is Change Really Possible?
- Someone I Love is Gay
- Responding with Grace and Truth
- Homosexuality and Youth
